Borgo Carbone is an ancient rural village consisting of a manor house, Casina Carbone: a fortified farmhouse from the 17th century classified as a historic residence under the constraint of fine arts; around Casina Carbone, there are some recently restored stone farmhouses and company buildings used for accommodation; within the village, there is also a small patronal church, also made of stone. Located on a plateau, surrounded by over 30 hectares of olive groves and citrus orchards, at about 30 meters above sea level, it offers extensive views of the Jasmine Coast, Gerace, and Locri. Just 2.5 km from the sea, 1 km from Locri, and 7 km from Gerace, it is the ideal place to visit the ancient Greek colony of Locri Epizefiri, the medieval Gerace, the Roman mosaics of the villa of Casignana, Silo with the Cattolica, the wild Aspromonte with its National Park, and the magnificent beaches of the Jasmine Coast. All the houses, despite being within a village, have their patio or front garden, and most of the village is a pedestrian zone.
